So I've been lucky enough to have had my T modified in a few magazines but this summer it was printed on a rod run T shirt. Sort of fun seeing your car on some old fat guys belly. IMG_0310.jpg IMG_0313_2.jpg IMG_0314_2.jpg IMG_0308.JPG

  3. My OT car was voted most inspirational build at the Complete Kit Car Show (Donnington) about 3 years ago. I was absolutely fucking gobsmacked... I built it in the carport while I was unemployed...

Had a five page article in the magazine.

Rusty, very cool 26, no doubt, you should be proud. What I don't understand is that both Rod and Custom magizines are dated Dec 2007, have the same cars on the cover, your 26 and the 57 Olds, but different format and pic placement. Looks like the local newspaper ran a nice article as well. Congrats on the recognition, the 26 is just downright eyecatching. BTW, all us old guys aren't fat .......

Thank outlaw, no you are right not all old guys are fat but......... You are right about the rod and custom covers. One was a newsstand issue and one was a subscriber issue, Rod and Custom did that for awhile.

Though Ive had 3 Harleys and 1 Triumph featured in various bike mags, all of which would be HAMB compliant if we had a bike version of this site, I had this a couple months ago. Granted it aint no cover or feature, but I had no idea this was coming. Charles Yapp asked for pics when I built my engine, so I emailed him a few and thanked him for technical help he had provided. Couple months later this came. It may not be much, but my granddaughters think I rule...and thats all that really matters. All this fame, 15 minutes at a time. image.jpeg image.jpeg

This summer before I had traded for the 56, I got my 54 Chevy in Hot Rod when they were rolling through my town for Power Tour. They even wrote a neat article about it. Not too bad for a small town kid and his first car if I say so myself. Screenshot_2015-06-08-06-10-36.png

there have been several small pics of my 55 in Hot Rod over the past several years, and the current issue has one of my Chevy II. Get out there and drive them!

Average Dave very fortunate to have features in Mopar Collectors Guide (Randy Holden) "Speed Shop Dart" and Muscle Car Review magazine/Hot Rod online (Geoff Stunkard) "Border Uprising Hemi Darts". Great to showcase my buds' talents who did the bodywork/paint/lettering /photography and to recognize the racing career of Gene O'Neill who campaigned Hemis in Superstock, Prostock, Modified production and Funny Cars.

Never had an article but had a pic of my '56 Mainline in Street Rodder a few years ago. Still cool IMHO.

I have had a few in print, but the HAMB Drags shirt is a bigger deal to me. It was a neat little thing that I knew only my friends would see. Plus, the art was done by my art hero Dennis McPhail.

My '55 Cadillac was featured in CK Deluxe mag in February, 2012. Rod & Custom Mag did a feature on it in May of 2012. It also appeared in Hot Rod mag , January 2014,in the "Wrenchin' at Random" section. Years before that, my radical '57 Chevy hardtop was featured in Rod & Custom mag in the April, 1995 issue. Two of my '57 Chevys were featured in Custom Rodder mag, summer of 1993. Hotline News featured both my '57 Chevys-one in the January 1990 issue and the other in the February, 1990 issue. My gray '57 Chevy appeared in Tim Remus's coffee table book entitled "Custom Cars & Leadsleds" on nine pages way back in early 1990.

Several of my other cars have appeared in small pix in various pubs...

Does a French magazine count? Told my daughter that there was a spread on my 34 in a French magazine called Powerglide. She couldn't quite figure that one out until I told her that the photographer sent the pics to the magazine from here by computer. She thought the coupe made it's way to France somehow.
I had purchased the coupe from a welder I'd met on a jobsite whose name was Bob. DSC00730.JPG

4 of my cars have been featured in local Ozzie mags over time; 66 Fairlane, 35 Chevv, 48 Holden and Bedford van (Similar to GM G series). When I get the 46 Olds done someone might take up the challenge again?
