  3. Willishotrods, that 40 fronted pick up is odd as it has 4 stud wheels (37-39 mechanical brakes) so is it a 40 with an axle swap/drum swap or an earlier pick up with front sheet metal swap. Very cool what ever. Do you have the serial number? JW

  4. There is a gentleman in Minnesota with a recent find, '40 pickup...it also had 4 bolt rims, hubs, etc., but I think it did have juice brakes. Willys was known for using stuff up from previous production years...probably one of the reasons for the Model 48 in early 1939, as it was nothing more than a 38 body early in that '39 production year. Back to the '40 pickup...it didn't have original Willys 4 bolt rims all around, and I had some real clean ones from a '38 I had converted to 5 bolt and juice brakes a long time ago...so they found a new home. g-willys

Saw the thread and had to get in on it. Not mine, belongs to a deceased friend of mine. I posted on here a couple of years back. 396/auto/Olds rear......all steel and comes with lots of good spare sheetmetal. The widow is looking for mid $50's

Here's a pic of one I bought out of a farmers field in West Georgia near Carrollton. It had been a drag car during it's lifetime and still had an Olds rear end in it.

Interesting hood trim...Looks like strips from a 40 Deluxe added to the '41 hood...nice touch!

I've owned this 41 Willys for the past 9 years. Been a great car and enjoyed it a ton. It was an ex. race car owned by Elverne Pfeifer from Kenosha, WI.

Looking good ! I'm building a 38 pickup in the gasser style also, but I'm going with a 40 or 41 front end. Did you build your bed ? You've got the length just right. It looks well proportioned.

I had the bed built by mack hils products in moberly; mo. I made it 17" shorter than the original. They make beds for all the antique trucks. Good people and nice work!

Where can I find that one piece windshield for $400? I have yet to locate one myself.

Here is a picture of my 52 Willys Aero Lark project.
