    Some more information about the most elegant and lovely Horch fire car provided by B.F. ...

    The chassis is a 1941 Horch 853 A (8 cyl. in line, bore x stroke 87 x 104 mm, 4944 cc, 120 hp) with wheelbase 3450 mm, track F/R 1510/1516 mm, chassis weight 1900 kg, with special body by Lepil of Rousinov, built during 1945-1949, and water pump by Hrcek & Neugebauer of Brno-Kralovo Pole. This car is now owned by voluntary fire brigade in Brno-Komin.

    Hi Bob.....I don't know if they used the Morris minor in the borrowers. The ford is an e83w and is the same as one I used to have. I have old photos of my ford and a 1954 Austin Devon ice cream van I used to own. I will try to scan my photos and post them up.
    Your enthusiasm and pics you've posted on this thread made me move my lazy butt and post some pics.
