A lot of great features and some goofy looking stuff but it's done well.

  5. They crackle. Copper and brass were actually popular because of the sound they made.

    ^^thats cool!
I just got my Tex Smith book today, anyone ever see this bitchen '26/'27 T (I think?) with A fenders and cut-down doors in a magazine from the time? According to the caption, this was Bonneville 1953, and Tex figures it was from the Portland area? I'd love to see more pics of this. I really LOVE this car, it kinda looks like Hentzels car would have if it were a roadster.

Falcongeorge: that is an awesome car. Peter Sucalac (spelling?) did an in depth write up on it in an early issue of Street Rod . It was a pretty famous Ore/Wash based car. I'll dig out that issue, if no one else expounds on it.

I'm a use plenty of photos guys. But @sancoz that is to much for one man to handle.
If my internet connection was so bad, I would have prematurely "detonated" in my pants in the middle of the second last post you did.

Almost made me change my pants.
    You rule!

George: Robert Hegge did a write up in Sept '72 Street Rod mag on Don Bracy's former oval track '27T. Built in 1952, it sat on '36 rails and with a'49 Merc built by Bill Schnell of Portland ; it ran 135 mph. I have the article with pics on my iPhone, but don't know how to post them...

Thanks Bowie, I will see if I can get my hands on a copy of that magazine. Its funny how many of the cars built back then were on later '33-up frames. But here on the HAMB that's a major faux-paux and guys will get in line to tell you you cant do that. Sorta like chopped '32 grill shells on Model 40's...:D

Might be tough to find. I really want to see more details now, the info you posted has REALLY whet my appetite. I haven't found ANYTHING about him or the car online.

Pretty sure I should have that issue George. I'll have a look tonight, and try and get it scanned.
