A favorite final step, once you get the trim back on you will probably wonder why you hadnt done it sooner.
The trim brings on a big transformation.

  4. I grew up in the 60/70's and tri fives had a nice ride stance to them back then now everything is slammed on the ground, Just wondering if you guys are all afraid of falling out of them when you open the door. If it is not a gasser then it don't have a nice ride stance. Seem to me if you want them on the ground maybe you should be building a custom or a low rider. Just some food for thought. Is this just a fad or is that all a guy is going to get to look at for the rest of life. Seems it kinda like all of those stupid paint scheme that came out in the 80's, where their paint everything including all of the chrome. :(:eek::oops::rolleyes:

    That's a pretty HT
It deserves a full size photo! Cragars were designed for Tri fives.

Hey Eric, your 55 - is it a golden anniversary? Gold paint and interior originally? If so, rare car. My 57 was rusted badly when I bought it. Now 327, 3-2bbls, muncie, 3.70- lots of fun

Top photo is from the early 70's. My 3 brothers were in a car club and this was their "Club Car". I always liked it, but I was a lot younger than they were. Bottom pic is the 56 that I ,with a lot of help, built and now race. It's a tribute car to the guys that taught me so much.

Thanks, and I agree. As soon as I hit post I realized I should have hit full-size, but didn't know how to change it after the fact. oct3.JPG
Here is a picture in better light that shows the colors better.

PD_0005[1].JPG PD_0017[2].JPG PD_0057[1].JPG red/wht '55 is dads' from late 60's that he was just finishing up. It had p.s., p.b., p.w., and p.seats and 327 4sp. The blue '55, he had purchased for all the new chrome/trim that came with it, to use for the hrdtp. It ended up being such a good car, he built a .060 over 283/4sp. and used it for his daily driver. The '56 was a CA. car that we did for my mom in the late 70's/early 80's. I drove it during h.s..

At our place we have at the moment 3 '57s. A BelAir 2dr HT (mine, original 283ci 245hp 2x4BC, PG), my wife's '57 BelAir 4dr HT and a friends '57 BelAir 4dr HT that we are minding because he's overseas.
I did drag race a '57 BelAir 4dr Sedan '78-'79 which went well, which was unbeaten in 2 seasons.

I saved this one from a local junkyard this past summer, the roof was caved in and it was full of bondo, but with a title and only $500 price tag I had to save it. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1450655091.318537.jpg
The frame ended up being junk, so I started over. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1450655133.279395.jpg
This is where we are at now...it will be raceable by the summer.
