I'll cast as many as are ordered plus an extra four or five for myself and those who didn't preorder but decide they want one. There will be a second order in November, and the 2nd batch should be ready for Christmas. Thanks!

...That's what the 2nd amendment is for.

I'm also going to look into getting these cast in bronze or brass.

A bit behind schedule, but the pattern will be sent to O'Brien Truckers for casting Friday! Thank you all for your patience during this process. I'm super excited to see the finished cast piece! IMG_0745.jpg

I wish I had a twin blue speedometer! The outer tabs are just for casting purposes. I'll have it all smoothed out by Monday, and ready to ship to O'Brien Truckers for casting. Last call for pre-orders! Pm me if interested. IMG_20151023_142900223.jpg

Thanks! I cant wait to see a finished product either! This is as close to seeing it as we'll get in the next three weeks. I'm ordering a few extra for those who will want them once they are cast, then there will be a wait again.

Here's what the AVIATOR panel will look like in a '32 dash. Again, the tabs are for casting purposes only. I did all the final prep work over the weekend, and the pattern is ready for production! IMG_20151023_151822740_HDR.jpg

I had a slight mishap with the first pattern which deemed it imperfect and therefor unsuitable to be used as a pattern. I will have a new pattern 3D printed shortly (again, production time has bitten me in the ass).
The panels should be ready by around Christmas time. I apologize for any inconvenience the delay may have caused, and I take full responsibility for the delay.
Thank you for your patience and I assure you the final product will be well worth the wait.

Thanks Johnny Cliché, but no need to be disgruntled. I've kept the folks that have pre ordered updated, and here's a public update for those who are wondering.

I've gotten my second pattern done and it is on its way to O'Brien Truckers. I am going to get 17-20 panels cast in aluminum in the first run. I'm very happy with the pattern, and in 5-6 weeks, we should have a great product! See for yourself. IMG_20151214_172839608_HDR.jpg IMG_20151214_172419075_HDR.jpg IMG_20151214_182124.jpg

***UPDATE*** Those of you who have pre-ordered your panels will be getting them by the end of January. At this point, I'm looking at getting a larger volume cast, and will most likely do a limited run of 100 panels in the one piece cast aluminum style.
Thank you all again for your support and patience. Again, this is my first time putting anything into production, and I've learned a lot regarding how to go about such an undertaking. IMG_20151214_171934681_HDR.jpg

Yes, you learn that the only person you can depend on is yourself. Everybody else has their own schedule, and it's kinda hard to convince them all that my stuff is the most important. ;) Good luck!

I'll have 50 panels available in the first batch, which will be available in 4-5 weeks. Thanks again to those who have supported me thus far- there will be more to come!

I received an update from Dennis O'Brien. The panel is shown here as a completed match plate, which will be used to make the molds. Neat stuff! IMG_20160101_093958.jpg

Thank you, George! I spoke with Dennis O'Brien a few days ago, I should have my first few tangible examples coming in the next couple weeks, then the bulk of the first order at the end of the month. I've purchased some Classic Instruments gauges for the display dash, can't wait to put it all together! CIN-AT54SLC_ml.jpg

I have a full set of S/W curved lens, wings gauges ready to install in your panel. Send me my panel, I will install gauges, send you pic's and you won't have to buy gauges for display anymore!

Lon, I'll have the first batch of panels in the next week or two. I will get them out to those who have pre ordered as soon as I get them in. Thank you for your patience thus far, and I encourage you and others to post pictures of the panels once they are installed and whatever they end up going into!

Good news! The pre-ordered dash panels will be in this week and shipping out to those who have pre-ordered Saturday. I'll post pictures of the finished cast piece and would encourage those who have purchased them to post pictures of what their AVIATOR panel is going into! Thanks!

Planning ahead here, in one of your posts you give dimensions as 19 7/8" X 5 5/16", on your web site you say 18 1/2" X 5 1/4". What did they end up being?

18.5" x 5.25" is what they measure. I got them in! I'll be shipping them out to those who pre ordered tomorrow! IMG_20160113_183835.jpg IMG_20160114_102600211.jpg
