  15. Hi Tony and it would have rude if I didn't. My plans for the 35 are to keep it stock, just do over the motor, fit a 37 gearbox and redo the inside and thinking of leaving the outside as is as it has only surface rust. I may run it on a set of 37 wheels just for fun.
your 38 is coming along Tony, cool !! :D JW

Thanks for the comment. The car was an old gasser and was rebuilt with the theme of an old street/drag car. It has the necessary equipment to be run hard, but its never officially been down the 1/4 and timed.

ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1450368092.242362.jpg New to the board. Long time surfer. Muscle car guy but finally convinced in-laws to sell me this Willys. Hasn't been titled since 1968. Only took me 25 years to get it... No structural rust damage anywhere. Shot out windshield otherwise all is there. Now to decide what to do with it! Look forward to the journey...

Fortunately for you, the one-peice windshields are still available, cost around $400 I understand the two-piece are no longer available new...and I know where you can get a new gasket-around $150 for that...

What year is yours...??? It looks really solid, a friend of mine here in ColoRODo just put a Vortec V6 (below) in his and it fits really nice...he also used a Mustang front under his.

I've been scouring this site and others for pics on the Aero's...mine in a '53. Based on what I've seen, feel pretty lucky to have a solid piece. I'll take you up on that windshield gasket/surround when the time comes. What I really need to see are the chassis pics of these Aero's and what guys have done to add structure -- rear end bracing, front end (considering both straight axle and Mustang), etc...I'm starting the clean-up process, will be cleaning and saving the existing paint as much as I can. Focus will be on drive line and power plant (most likely small block Olds and four-gear). Short term -- get that Hurricane 6 running if I can...looks all there but dubious. Farmers drove cars until death...sooo......I'm guessing something is amiss.

  26. Nice find buddy, the Willys pickups have a look of their own, I love my sedan but would really like to find a truck. Well keep us up on the build and with Kev starting the set up you won't go wrong there, He's one guy I would really like to meet, he does some nice nostalgia work. Thanks for Posting. Also would like to thank all you other guys for posting and showing off your great rides.
