What is the name of the blue on your coupe? Looks great.

  9. Thanks! I honestly don't know, but it's that generic medium blue that seemed to be on every other Chevelle out there - growing up in the late '60s we used to call it "Maliblue!"

I was thinking that it looked like the blue GM used back then. Thanks

you ever get any grief on the no fenders from the police or insurance? as i am building mine right now and plan on no fenders, it's my understanding that i am going to need fenders to get the car registered in BC. It was registered in Ontario where i bought the car from.

you will to get registered as it stands right now. There is supposed to be a 'fair weather" fender law coming in 2016, but its unclear how that will affect passing the provincial safety inspection that you have to go through when you first register your car here.
and chopped, I still LOVE that colour combination...

What's the fair weather law talking about? You can only drive fenderless in fair weather?

So what happens if you drive somewhere when it's nice and a storm rolls in and it starts to rain? Don't make a lot of sense to me!

You guys are getting hammered out there right now...Hey with the smart phone revolution weather is never more than a finger away. The other thing is the law would hopefully use discretion when considering the situation at hand. I have partial fenders, no wipers or hood and have never been caught in the rain. But that does limit a lot of potential cruise days. I monitor several stations and make a decision. Many days rain predicted car stays in and nothing happens. Oh well...price of circumstance.

I see your point. But over here, the whole fenders debate has been a head on pissing match from the get going, because the law states: a device must be put in the place to protect fellow motorists from spray and or splash. If this is not obeyed one can get fined.

And since it's the law, we all must run fenders. No big issue there, but I read is as "something" can be anything, and the vehicle motor inspector is willing to pass bike fenders off as "a such device", but "johnny law" means stock fenders or its a moving violation!

And think this is what the other poster refers to as "I don't get what they means". Like is it to be read as written or as meant.

I'm willing to run bikefenders. But I have no plans to run stock fenders in stock location.
Will that mean it is legal for johnny law to pull you over, if you fail to take a break till it stops raining and then proceed home?
Or is it wet fender less rod = fine?
