Any information on this one? The components look modern, despite a bit of Neanderishness about some of the details.

I know that car! That, and if you look closely in the background, the green '34 were both racing at the Monterey Historics, last year. The green didn't make it this year.

I actually have started the restoration of the '35 F4. The only indoor place I have to work on it is my 9'x12' shed.Yes, it will need to come apart to come out! in the shed 11-2015.jpg

You're welcome. And thank you for keeping my inspiration going. This tread is the first I check! My goal is to have my Morgan on the road by June. And here's a mock up picture (with a sneaky peek of what else I drive :) Mock-up 2014.jpg

From MrScharroo's Weird Car Museum Flicker page:
    "Duofront 1955
The builder of this vehicle is Dr. Ing. Wolfgang Trautwein, from Meersburg, West Germany. This was his first Duofront, based on a Norton motorcycle, built in 1955. He built several types of Duofront.
The motivation of this pioneer was the gain in safety. “Motorcycles are wonderful, but dangerous. You need more traction. Better give them three or four wheels for more stability in the road curves“.
Black and white photo was found on www.autopuzzles.com and is colorized."

The cutouts in the bodywork appear to allow a folding front suspension, but I can't see what advantage that would give.

Perhaps the cutouts allowed the car to lean in the corners?

    Dodge,

You must be right! Dr. Ing. Wolfgang Trautwein with his 3-wheeler appeared on a few web-sites for tilting vehicles and there are some newer photos with him on such tilting tricycles... (for me original black-&-white photos are better than colored). Russian we-site:

Trautwein seems obsessed with maintaining track width absolutely during lean. Hence the ugly negative-offset front wheels on most of the trikes. I'm wondering if a tiny bit of track loss might not be unproblematic. My own investigations into this suggest something in the order of 3% at 45° of lean, using conventional T-bucket-style front wheels and available spindles. It would certainly make for a simpler arrangement.

My investigations are about a perennial daydream of mine, a T-bucket from the firewall forwards attached to a traditional '60s longbike from the headstock back, which of late has become a Tilting Three-Wheeler. I'm thinking that a Jaguar XK six and foot-operated manualized BW65 might be appropriate.

    Bob,
As a lot of Parisiens used pedal-powered velocars during German occupation - maybe this quartet wonted to show solidarity? Or they are some kind of slow-moving traffic police? Or...

I think he's been busy taking pictures of Bloodhound, the last speed car from England. I love his drawings like Bob has shown. He shows great detail in the center and it fades to the edges of the object. It gives the impression of not really being finished.

The thing I like about Stefan's art, like Doug mentioned, is the edges....it leaves something for you own imagination to fill in.

The Bloodhound project is on hold for the moment while some new money is being sourced to complete it.
