  1. And what might a ugly Willys be ????? I guess I'm not sure what you mean, when I got my 38 everyone thought the 37/38 was ugly but in a way they have their own bit of charm.

  3. One of those cars everyone wants but are sure hard to get. I prefer the coupes myself. My dad has his sedan listed in the classifieds.

  4. I have to post this one for and old friend who has passed but it is as 60's/70's as they can get. Carl\'s 1954 Willys Sedan.jpg

  5. One of four complete ones ( '39 coupe) in the last 30 years...along with nearly 20 willys bodies collected over that time span...many of those are on the street for other builders who are Willys guys.

I go back however, to 1960 when I bought my first Willys and drove it home. Bill\'s \'39 (2).JPG 20141027_155926.jpg
The 2nd picture is my latest (36 sedan), which is now mostly complete. My other 2 were a '38 Stocker, and a '41 pickup...both are now with other Willys owners.

Nice, AeroRocket...yours looks good. I'm using Saturn buckets in mine, an all aluminum interior, hand built aluminum console, B & M shifter, and an 8" Ford rear-end. Running 5 inch wheels up front and 8 inchers on the back. Body work is done and paint is coming up next...

I may do a build thread on it later on...

Boy it sure seems that Willys owners on here are a bunch of hoarders. Everybody and his brother have bunches of them.

I have to be shown how to post pics. Pretty much computer illiterate.

  18. When you send an e-mail to the gentlemen it will ask you if you want to attach a file and that is where you attach the photos you want to send to him. This thread is for Willys cars not a place where you post Ford car picture to make a sell or trade for a car. So go to your Email and do it there then the business is handled between you and him. Thank you for be interest in becoming a Willys owner.

So many cool cars and projects. Mine is a little non standard for a Willy's.
Power is 283, with T56 and 4:11 gears, 14K on the clock, named 2MNYDRS.

Im not a four door fan but thats a nice ass car. When I was a teenager my pops and I found a 41 four just a few miles from our house on a ranch, they had tipped it on its side and cut the frame out from under it and used it for a hay wagon. The o.p. ended up with the frame and my pops and I kick our selves in the asses for not grabbing the body.

Famoso! Trailer the car to Redding though a snow storm. Only time the car has been in or on a trailer. Dumped the car out and went south. Had a great time. I remember the March meet was pretty wet that year.
A guy once referred to the 41-42 sedans as the ugliest Willy's ever built. I took that as a challenge to make something cool out of it even if it was a deluxo door car with that rear quarter window. Glad you like it. I did everything but spray the color with a lot of help from friends and family.
Very few of the 4drs have survived. Much more rare than say coupes. They simply weren't desirable in the 50-60's.
