    Mr. Dodge;
As for the coolant pump, you could use an external - either electric, or mechanical (belt or gear) driven. There is a very nice one made in Aus, comes in different sizes (& has it's own provision(s) for temp control). It's a centrifugal style, & would mount alongside the front of the mill (usually). Not trad? Not so, most (early teens through ~ early 40s, from bangers to the straight eights) coolant pumps were add-on centrifugal-style. True, most were driven through the generator,(& sometimes the dist drive), or a gear drive, & some were belt driven. At this point, a electric fan should have enough room to squeak in. FWIW. Marcus...

My 1969 Plymouth Valiant is my hot rodded six... Life started as a 225 Slant six, then this happened....

It's .060" over bore, I ported the head, used 340 Valve Springs, had Schneider grind the cam to a .500" lift @ 280° Duration(it was 14 years ago, cam is foggy), and I milled the head and block to get the compression up.

    I used a Clifford intake with a 390 CFM HOLLEY 4 BBL.

Between a couple of Edelbrock Balls and shorty headers, I made my own headers that stay sealed.

I put an alumninum OD 833 4 speed behind the engine, and put 3.73 gears in the rear.

IT KICKS BUTT! AND REFUSES TO DIE! I may never get my 340 in it... If it ain't broke, don't fix it

300 Ford. Home built body and chassis. Back in 1999 - 2000 I was in 16 final rounds - won 12 of them. My neighbor still races it for me. Some things never change.

According to my calculations, your engine now displaces 233 cu.in. and has enough carburation for a 5792 rpm redline.
    ...pretty hot.
Your car sounds like a honey. Would be nice to see a pic or two.

    Hi 6narow,

I will try to do that for you... I should be bringing my car home within a couple of weeks to replace the clutch.

I went up to Hemet CA to pay ck up my son from school. I drove it hard, as usual, and the traffic backed up. After 15 minutes of bumper to bumper traffic, with clutch pumping being continuous, I heard a "bang" and had to grind it through gears to get it off the freeway.

I have a great friend that let me park the Car up in Poway, and I will be borrowing a car trailer in a couple of weeks to bring my baby back home.

Well we have a couple that might be appropriate for the thread. The 1929 Desoto which my buddy George Asche has owned since 1950 was undefeated on Daytona Beach in the flying mile drag race, with a top speed of 142 miles an hour. Its sports a 120 thou overbore 265 ci motor with a modification or two !

My car would be a 1949 Plymouth business coupe, that my great aunt bought new in 1949. Its a Canadian car so already had the 25 1/2" Canadian big block in it. It left the family in 1960 but arrived back a half a dozen years ago, with still under 15,000 original miles on it. We decided to make it go a little faster.. lol.. It sports a 1954 dodge truck 265, bore 120 thou, venola top fuel pistons, plasma moly rings, our own cam design and grind which has 446 of lift. It turns 6500 rpm, thanks in part to 3 highly modified carter ball and ball truck carbs with almost 1300 cfm of carburation afixed to our own designed and created AoK manifold.Yes it is quite a rev for a motor who stock stroke was 4 3/4", so hey, we gave it just a little more stroke! It has a 1956 Plymouth overdrive, with 1940 gear set giving it a fast 2nd gear. Brakes were upgraded to 1949 Chrysler 12" brakes, a bored and sleeved master cylinder and a 354 gear set (pumpkin) from the same 49 Chrysler. The net effect, is it is certainly faster than your average Echo!

And our final "rod" with a straight six in it came to us, after they changed the Top Fuel rules and lengthened dragsters. Ours had only it rear wing and Monster hemi removed. So we did what everyone would have done right ? Lol... Built us a flathead 6 Chrysler. After a bit of tuning, we did get it to idle to just over 2000rpm, and when you hammer it, it will hit 7300 rpm immediately. Yes, this is the AoK worlds fastest dinosaur.

Here you can see when it was first fired

Oh and yes, it is not running your average pump fuel ! lol

While it hasn't made it to a NHRA 1/4 mile, it might of made it out on to a road for a little test or two. Yes, it can inflate those back tires and put on a smoke show !

Were not sure what its future brings, but in phase 2 of the AoK racing intake development, we seemed to
have this race prep'd 671 blower just sitting around and we definitely would not want it to get dusty. Oh and since we already have a phase 2 engine done, and it is already has the internals set up for a little extra boast, we think it
might pretty much guarantee that it beats every factory Echo ever made !

How the heck did you ever get a Venolia top fuel hemi piston to fit inside of a block that couldn't have a bore much over 3.5 inches in diameter?
