My garage is STUFFED during the winter time ...
I am sorry for too much stuff, not enough space, not well organized.
Makes it diffucult to do anything but small repairs there.

The 34 is at my shop right now, getting a little touch up. Party Weekend garage bash Mai 01 2015 079.jpg 55 ch 002.jpg IMG_3545.JPG
Maybe I should get a broom and clean up a bit.... but I´ll do that when I have the 34 on the road:)

Several HAMB'ers asked about the workbench storage racks in my shop..
Here's some pic's of how they were modified...

First was to cover the walls.
These are the old roof panels from this same shop.
A durecho thunderstorm/windstorm tore 1/3 of the roof off.
When they put the new roof on, I had shem leave all the old panels behind.
Straightened them out... Put them up over tyvek and fiberglass insuation.

Used a hudson sprayer and washed the old galvanized panels with straight vinegar to prep for paint.
Painted them with a gallon of silver chain link fence paint from Lowe's. Brush and roller stuff.

Took a stack of pallet racking and cut the front par loose from each one.
Cut about 9" (iirc) off of each crossbar and diagonal (snapped a chalk line)
Cut the feet off and shortened the bottom, and cut the tops off.
Slid the front bar back on and welded it back together.

Painted the inside of the channels and corners with brush paint black tractor enamel, and rattlecanned the rest with .96 cent a can black spray enamel from Lowe's.

Scored a bunch of crummy 2x4's and cut them to fit the pallet rack channel.

Went to the local steel supplier and had them put two bends on 4x8 sheets of 18 guage galvanized sheet metal.

Bu trimming only the ends on one side, I was able to slip the sheet in and just overlay the next sheet on top.
There is no 'joint'.. Just a lap.

These two hadn't seen the light of day for quite some time, but got pulled out to do some cleaning & rearranging. Not a 2 car garage, & not much of a garage pic at all, but thought I'd share my future projects. DSC01575.JPG

Looking at this, 2 things come to mind, there are just as many humble garages as there are jaw dropping garages and a lot of hot rodders have a affinity for falcons. Excellent tread keep em coming

  16. The Hotrod Emporium is where I pastor over our Friday night prayer meetings!

This prayer meeting is BYOB... Which doesn't mean "Bring Your Own Bible"!

So are we going to hold prayer meetings at your shop now?

The 36 up on the jack in my dad's garage where the car was but over a 48+ year span (started in 1957, on the road finally in 2005). Dark, cold and small, sort of like working in a cave. 36 garage 2.jpg

This is my clean room/office, there is another part of the building that the dirty work is done. It's also the winter home for our deck plants that keep me company in the winter. I guess it's obvious why they call me pumpman. photo 1.JPG photo 2.JPG photo 3.JPG photo 5.JPG

Some very cool cars, and some really great garages. However, since I don't have a commercial establishment and we (the world) don't really know each other, I won't be posting any pictures to help someone with Google Earth, my profile and previous posts to figure out where my stuff is. Too many stolen car reports around. But, i do enjoy your postings if you're less paranoid than I am.
