That's how mine was before I got a shed and tossed out a lot of crap. There is hope.

 

When I moved to Vermont I ended up buying a house with no garage at all (the previous owners converted it into a family room). I'm thinking about building a lean-to off the garden shed large enough to shelter parts and work near in good weather.

Nice, big, dry basement, though. Too bad there are no Bilco Doors.

 

<-----That's how my place was. I ripped out the wall to the basement bedroom and had a garage door put back in. A small 1 car garage is better than no garage.

I once knew a service station owner of German/Russian origin who pronounced garage as "harage"! I ended up in later years working for his son - a very good mechanic.

Mine was something like that before i got the pallet shelfs.

 

The 1st pic was when I brought the 66 home from Mom and Dads house.
The 2nd and 3rd are where we are at on it now.
Eventually I will get the "Dream Shop" built but not within the next year or 2. I will have been married 25 years in march and my wife has never parked one of her vehicles in one of our garages.

My garage is about 15x25. I actually use its size to justify not buying more stuff. Any more and ill never get anything done. I guess hot rodders are like gold fish, we keep growing to suit our environment.

 

never big enough, my first was a 12x16 tarp,then 30x30 shop, then 30x100, not big enough so now have 66x100,full, cant get anything more in it[ anyone want a pool table?]

 

They are always too small. There is always something that can take up the space.
This is where my garage is at right now. I just built a frame table that attaches to the lift for space saving.
I also have my '54 at the shop, because there are more tools there, and I don't have the room. I remember when I did the suspension on the '54 years ago in this garage, I had to put it in the garage sideways, because the garage is too small for it to fit in straight.

 

My Grampa said, Marry a small woman, they tend to get big, and build a big garage they tend to get small..

 

.....Never seen one too big!

 

I built my car and a large part of my buddy's roadster in this garage.

 

Before the Comet I built a Cobra replica in a one car garage while I was living in a condo. It was on an alley so there was no driveway. Luckily I had good neighbors. There were also some boxes of parts behind the couch in the living room. All that stuff you see besides the tires fit in that garage. I did finally get a house which is the last picture.

My little 1.5 car. It houses two model a's one In a million peices a hudson a harley 15 bicycles my tools a new front clip for my c10 a sbc and flathead on stands and who knows what else but when I pull the hudson out I have a semi decent work space. I really need to build a shed.

 

My shop.....I've got multiple projects I want to get done on all cars this winter so I decided to put them all down at the shop.
The touring is on a pallet ready for the new owner. That will free up some valuable space!

 

What I did on Christmas vacation. I cleaned out 20 years of junk and sold off the motorcycles so I could squeeze my '29 RPU inside. No more temporary storage in the back yard. It is perfect by no means, but once the truck is rolled out, I can have a couple of beers with the guys and wrench in the driveway.

 

A friends garage. Under the pile is a '65 Corvette convert and a '50 Merc convert.
Been sitting 40 years and counting.

 

Its a good thing your tires aren't any wider. LOL

I've got one of those "two stall" garages that's really a stall-and-a-half... going to get a Home Depot tin shed to move the kid's bikes, the mower, the garden tools, and a little sheet metal out to make room to work again !!!
