    Welcome to this week's gallery..

    Hard not to mention news of George Barris' passing, so it seems. Personally, as a fan thru the press over the years, I threw together a pic of 'GOLDEN SAHARA',- alas, I am unable to post it- all I offer is this kinda hippy-ish tribute- hey, the man worked the eras, and like no other..

    R.I.P. George Barris

    Stellar start Steve-a-roo!
    Mine will be a tribute to the so called “King” of the Kustom, George Barris. R.I.P. George.
    ( Dean Jeffries designed and built the Monkeemobile and was a major contributor to Barris' studio car builds including the Batmobile. This car was setting in the display window of George's Studio City shop for several years back when I lived in the area, in the early 90's.) also, a keen eye will see that my sketch is not based on the '66 body style...

    Somewhere on a shelf in Sweden sits a model built from one of my drawings.
    Robert Thurgren, master builder, saw my artwork here on the H.A.M.B. and really wanted to see
    how it would turn out. I've had several others build model cars from my drawings,
    but Robert captured the proportions of the chopped and sectioned Ala Kart perfectly.
    A small tribute to one of George Barris' best kustoms!

    Have had these brushes and paints sitting in a drawer forever and though this may be a good way to practice...very weak and amateurish, but I had fun doing it!

    I did this one a while ago. The Batmobile has been one of my favorite cars since I knew what a car was.
