I look forward to seeing you guys checking out the shop. Doing great work from what I've seen in in the valley too, so we're kinda neighbors lol

Thank you so much! That's so nice of you to say. Being neighbors, you should definitely come by some time.

    More Pics:
    -No turning back now
-Determining if we are happy with the amount chopped so far. In this case less is more. IMG_8678.JPG IMG_8690.JPG

Chop looks good!! Gonna lay down that rear window? Or going with glass from another car?

Thanks! I think laying down the rear window is gonna be the winner.

Agreed! But on this one since we shaved the drip rails we think that the re-working the B-pillars is gonna help with the overall flow of the door openings.

It's so much easier to do on the bench!

  13. Question for you Cgc1958,
Are your pics and progress real time as it happens ?
    Or
Is has this project already been far ahead and you're posting now?

    And

Looks like you have a nice shop, so how many guys are throwing down on this one?

These pics are about 2 weeks behind. I don't want to get crazy with a ton of pics at once. That might get a little obnoxious.

Thanks, it's just Clark and I. We have 5 other projects that we are working on as well and a 6th that just went to paint.

  15. Thanks !!!

  16. Loved the backstory. I noticed that at speed, my 60's hood got a little weird so I pulled the latch apart and sturdied her up. I totally would have gone for a chop too if the hood would have popped up. Totally justified!

Nice examples! There are also great examples with the drip rails. I think whenever I am all or nothing that's when I get into trouble. There are always exceptions to everything. That being said I recognize that I am militant (to a fault) in my preference of Kustom cars over stock cars.

    Here are some more pics:
Making sure we have all the proportions right.
Laying down the back window to make sure we are happy with where it's sitting.
The 1st stages of the B-pillar, which will look significantly better once we have it all together. It looks a little crazy in these pics.

If Clark had to chose one I'm pretty sure it would be Tig everything! Anything you see that's not a stack of dimes is my welding. One day I will catch up to him! (If he knew I posted this pic he would kill me....figuratively of course...shhh;))

More progress pics: We are slanting the B-pillar quite a bit. But we are happy with the direction it's heading in.

Nice work! Great car to chop!

  30. Beautiful work so far.
Buuuuuttt... maybe it's just the camera angle, but it looks like there's a slight notch between the roof and the top of the back window. Please tell me there's actually a smooth transition between the roof and rear window.
