This is a Super Sweet scene from what appears to be 1959, 57 Corvette~Bob...brings back some fond memories for me! Your thought about using this on Father's Day is spot on ;)

If only I wasn't anchored at 5,000 ft in the Colorado Rockies, Frogz! Your composition makes me long for island hopping:D The way this little Ford is chopped and slammed, complete with wood and board... it oozes gallons of COOL!

You just unleashed the latest "build based on art"
If you don't build that thing I can guarantee someody will and should. WOW thanks.

I like this very much, but it looks like 1941 Chrysler rather than '46.

  14. Thanks Robber.
I didn't have any surfer wagon stuff, so I did this rough sketch of a '56 Stude this morning.

  15. You are correct... must edit that so I don’t look like an idiot... Thanks for humbling me.
(note to self, don’t post stuff after 12am when you are half asleep...)

  16. One more woody. This one a ’48 Ford

The Econoline from Martin, getting much deserved attention, remained me of this old T’bird sketch I did for one of the old “Art Challenges"

Hope you don't mind if I steal the Tiki Grill idea?

  19. Thanks I would build this in a heartbeat, given the materials and funds... No to mention a Deuce sedan... some mahogany, some ash, a boat builder...

Well Mister, I mean no offence ...
In my mind, one does not "look like an idiot" by mistaking model year.
...may be you're just not as keen on 40's mopars as I am...

  22. No offense taken, I love a good critique and am open to correction any time.
I drew the car on a flight from LA to Omaha after an intense couple weeks of work. When I got home, I scanned and saved it with thee incorrect year on the file. Laziness on my part when I posted the other evening tells the rest of the story. I was going to sketch a ’42 as I love the elegance of that front end treatment, however, I really like the added character and styling of the ’41 so I went with it.

    Now this is art

    I surely agree...
Pity, that my wallet is nowhere near to my taste in art...
