Started on the front floor.

 

Floor all fitted and tacked together. A bunch of little steps make up a mile!

Thanks Bubba, I wanted someone else to make that observation first, that's what came to my mind. I just wanted some company before I said it.
I did something similar for sinking a well into a project floor for an e-brake handle.
Bread pans to wheelbarrows......whatever works.

Your build thread reminds me of a radio ad (I don't recall which one), it said,
"We'll sell you the whole seat, but you'll only need the edge".

 

All three window needs is a frame

 

I used the best bread pan I could find. $7.99 at the grocery store.

They use that line for the motor cross where I live.

 

Larry has enough information by now to build a dozen cars.

 

That is a 1 lb. cake pan , you can also use them to make a mold if you have a glass car. Are you can just put nots and bolts in them.

 

I have a few with nuts, bolts, odds and ends. Actually got the idea from my grandfather, who also left me a good portion of my nut and bolt collection.

Danny--Have you thought about using two sided MDO for your front floorboard? I have done this for years, used Marine ply too. The paper backing on MDO takes paint really well, and it really does insulate the driving compartment. I tried to get a customer of mine to do that on his 32 Roadster with a hot 355 and Tremec, but he went with a steel floor. On the way back from Puyallup a couple of years ago, his feet got so hot he had them off the floor and actually had the drivers door open going down the freeway to let the hot air out.....And yes, I know that heaps of Dynamat, carpet and the rest will alleviate some of that, but still.......Just a thought.....

 

My truck has a wood floor, but I wanted a steel floor in this one. Dynamat and carpet is all it needs to control the heat.

Made some progress on my coupe. Column is in. Master cylinder pad is machined and tacked in.

I have a HAAS VF-4 cnc mill and a HAAS ST-20Y cnc lathe.

It's been a dream of mine for awhile. I've had my mill since 2010 and I got my lathe last year.

 

I saw your 32 this past weekend at Burnout Houston...pretty bad ass...!

 

That's strange. I was at the bayou roundup that weekend.

 

Got the pedal pad bungs machined and welded on.

There are many steps in a mile.

 

My mistake...thought I had replied to another 32 post....clicked the wrong thread to respond to...like yours as well...I'm in Houston
