Bought these yesterday , ended up with two sets.. No brand name anywhere. Are they aluminum, one needs repair at mounting holes. 20151013_212706.jpg 20151013_212748.jpg

  2. Generic aftermarket. They could be had with a variety of labels attached.

  3. They look like the set I saw on Pug}{man 's truck build post today

Just the average aftermarket valve covers produced in the 70s. I bought a new set from the local speedshop in 1982.

To answer your question specifically...I believe they are Ansens...

Whatever they are, they'd look pretty good bead blasted and cleaned up. Possibly Eelco?

Ansen made them for all sorts of companies with different labels on them. I have the same set with just a chevy emblem.

  8. I got a pair of those from J.C. Whitney back in the mid-70's. They came with a "Chevrolet" sticker that you could place on the center of the valve cover. It came off soon after.

I agree with Black Panther and ev88f, a boatload of them were sold with Mr. Gasket stickers on them as well. The BB version was used by Joel Rosen with Motion badges on them. Also ,they were made with Wieand cast in the space.

Ditto, generic '70s aftermarket, I sold dozens of them.

I remember them on Dad's 33 Tudor in black wrinkle finish with the fins sanded bare.

    Yes, aluminum.
