  3. The blue was applied right over the Henry Ford black in 1959.
    The primer, who knows?

    Not a patch panel anywhere.

    Coupe is mostly original paint, 40 was a 60's repaint,still only has 46000 miles!

    A 55 Wagon I had earlier this year. An my 27 Dodge in the background... If I had a dollar for every time I was asked... Are ya gonna "clear" it, No an I don't clear my nails either!

    My daily-driven '39, with worn 30+ year-old paint, at the drags earlier this year:

    Satin Black Rattle can over epoxy primer.
    Will get real shiny paint one day.

    That sure looks nice in the pic. Looks old timey, rather than new car wet look.
    How did you get it so smooth without dry lines, etc?

    Once it was dry I wet sanded with 1500 and 2000 on a random orbital. Was trying to get an old paint job look. I have hand rubbed it shinier in areas where things would rub over it. Has a few small rub through areas (unintentional before someone says fake patina) and will do until I decide to repaint. I have not touched the chassis or wheels and have left them all as found

    Here's my 31 Ford as it looks right now. Hope to paint it next winter. Still have some mechanical bugs to get out and interior work to do first.
