  3. Very impressive work..particularly on the progression of the body panels. Hard to believe it's the same body. Congrats on the stick-to-it-ness, mine just had it's first drive around the block in 11 years, so I have an idea what it takes. Getting past that "it's never gonna get done" point is an awesome feeling.

This is just a fantastic car! My favorite shot is from the rear quarter, showing the trunk lid and left side. You must have really paid a lot of attention to building the frame and mounting the body. This car is really nasty and looks like 200 mph standing still. The best thing is, just about every car looks better in person than it does in photos!

  8. Damn fine metal-working skills! You must have put a bunch of "h & d hours" in that roof alone, getting the "marbles" out of it; especially if you did not resort to filler to finish...

There is some filler in it, like just about everything. I kept it down to a minimum. There are uncounted metal working hours in it.

Thanks for the additional photos...that rear shot is a real pleasure to eyeball. Also, the inside-car driving shots are something we never see in magazines...I hadn't ever thought about that until looking at these.

Here is my next project. Not as rough as the 3W. Hope it doesn't take 16yrs.

  12. Gene, start a build thread on the roadster, please. It's great to watch someone piecing and fitting these cars back together. All sorts of tips come out these threads.

I am in the middle of another 3W body build right now. It is being made out of pieces, ie; 4dr, 2dr,repo and original 3W. Chopping it now and then it is done. I also have some of Steve's body sides to try and make a car out of after this 3W is finished. Plans are to work on the roadster over the winter and try to have the body ready to go to paint by spring. I will try and take pics now and then.

  14. 3 window turned out great as I am sure the roadster will also.
How about some photos of the 3 window body build you are working on?

I will do as soon as I figure out why my pics will not upload. It just says there was a problem uploading your files. Can not seem to get past it. I am using the same camera for those as I did for the 3W.

It must be top secret as the problem comes and goes on it's own.

I did resort to hosting some, that wouldn't upload here, to a hosting site like photobucket then they worked ok here.

That is way past my abilities. I am trying to be the last man with out a cell phone. If it wasn't for work I would not have a computer either.

I believe it's a memory issue, the pics should load if they are lower resolution... I think

Got my cars out this past weekend since the weather was so nice. I have changed the ride height on the coupe and put a chrome grill on it. My old roadster is starting to show it's age. Time for a redo.

    Gene you have mad skills!!!

  29. Looks good Gene. I see you used some of the shots I took early on. ')I will dig through my disks, I MAY have some earlier shots of the body but probably not.

And glad to see you posting "on that message board thingy" as you used to call this.

I do not have any shots of it at the start. If you took some I would like to get them.
