I don't understand. $10 every year? A one time charge of $10 for shipping? Wtf?

The email said $300 if you are in the U.S. and $10 shipping. But that's all it says. So is that a one time charge?

  9. ..............I'm guessing that's a one time deal to cover the shipping on the "goody package".

  10. I was fortunate enough to get in on the Lifetime subscription the first go around but even a 300 bones I think it's still a bargain. HRP

$300 lifetime is lifetime of the mag not yours. Many mags have gone under in the last few years. Is this a sinking ship also? Not trying to put the mag down it's great. But??

  12. Anythings possible but the way I saw it on the first go around that a yearly subscription is about 50 bucks a year so I would spend 200 bucks in the next 4 years anything after that would be a bonus. HRP

Pretty cool that they are offering it one more time for the folks that missed it earlier!
I concur with HRP, anything after four years is gravy :)

Yes, I wondered about, and posted the question of viability the first time around. OTOH, as Danny says, after 4 years if TRJ and I are still cooking it's a good deal. Plus, I am willing to invest in the possibility of the journal continuing on. As for whose lifetime is longer-well we're all alive today, can't tell about tomorrow. So far so good. So sit down and read some TRJ. Live well.

  15. NO it is Not a sinking ship. I've known Steve for 35+ years and we recently talked about this. There are some things he is looking to do to expand TRJ's business and wanted to raise some capital. The future looks bright for TRJ - enough so that I laid down my money .....

  16. None of us can predict the future, whether it's our lifetime or the lifespan of a publication.

My investing in a lifetime membership/subscription was my way of saying I hope the Rodders Journal continues for years to come and praying I do too. HRP

  17. I sold my "Lifetime Member" shirt for $35 so I'm in at $165. If TRJ survives the next 3 years I'll consider it a win for me.

You gotta wonder though, what happens in 4 years when over 1000 subscribers are getting their issues free? That's a lotta free issues going out every quarter.

Well said Danny, I'm there with you. I got my package lifetime member #981 and am happy to have it.
TRJ will be the only magazine I ever subscribe to and it's a good one.

Nothing like lowering the initial investment, capitalism in action!

I'm sure Steve consulted with his accountant to make sure cash flow would continue smoothly in the future with offering these lifetime subscriptions.

Just got mine! I plan on living for awhile, so it's a great deal.

TRJ isn't going anywhere...it'll be around for a loooonngg time.

Weird thing is, the e-mail I got a few days ago said the sale would begin @ 9:00 west coast time. But, I went on line at 8:45, and it said the same thing except when I scrolled down to the bottom of the page, it said the sale will start @8:00 west coast time. I ordered at about 8:50 am.

Hope everybody that wants a subscription will get one...
