Bead blasted my blower case, was going to polish it but I,m liking the cast look.Wheel centres will have cast finish too,Got some blingy bits here but I could blast them too, mmmmm,.
here is a good look at polished for you. I almost left my cast but was worried about keeping it clean. Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk
I like either a total polish, or a combo of polish on some parts and cast on others. It adds "visual interest".
A while back I saw a show car where they had polished the blower case ribs , then painted the rest in a real light tan pearl color and did it ever look clean as the engine was the same color too Neat looking 5 window, what color will it be ?
show rod or hot rod? for a true hot rod would go with cast finish. for bare metal there are sealers, like Shark Hide, that can be used to preserve whatever finish you decide on
I don't know what brand of covers they are. I bought them on ebay a year or so back. They make them and they sold for $285 I think. Probably still sell them on ebay. Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk
The fit and finish seems to be pretty good. I have no complaints Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk
Show car = Polished. Race car = As cast. Hot rod: Polished raised edges & everything as cast. (FWIW, that's what I'm doing on my Hemi).
I have a polished one and a cast one. The cast one is more fun to look at, but the polished one is prettier. Does pretty belong on a hotrod? Does "pretty" seem like a fitting term for a 671 blower? I'd have to say that a dressed and cleaned housing with polished ribs would be the best of both worlds.
I've seen enough polished aluminum to develop an allergy.....the pic is before installing belt guard, vent tubes and bigger zoomies.
