What do you think the chances will be to get there from central Mo in the first part of November?
Is there a route that will keep one out of the mountains?

Can't speak for coming from Missouri Salt Flats, but Reynolds is well below the mountains in North GA. Does I20 come near you? That will bring you into GA around the Atlanta area, which is a bit hilly, but certainly not mountainous. Reynolds is approx. 100 miles South of Atlanta. Four lane road from I75 to West for Reynolds.
Old US80, which was a major East/West route back before the interstates, comes within abput 25 miles of Reynolds, to give you some perspective.
I'm just not sure about where you are, never made it to Mo.

Need to hunt up a map, I guess, Salt Flats. Thought maybe you or somebody would come back and clue us in on how far North of I20 you are. Would help to know what part of MO you're in also.

I am 20 miles south of I 70 just about smack dab in the middle of the state
Looks like I can take 78 out of Memphis and hit I 20 in Birmingham

That will work, and it ia my understanding that most of US 78 is multi lane. There may be a way to " cut across Shorty" between B'ham and Reynold without having top square it up with a run East, then South. then West as it would be going W on I20 then Son I75 then back W on GA96 to Reynolds. Maybe I 65 to Montgomery, then I85 till it starts to swing to North , then catch US80 on East to Butler, then only 8 miles to Reynolds.

    Thanks just thinking out load
My wife has to use up some vacation time and she wold like to go to the coast.
She lived in Midway when she was young.
Me not being all that crazy about going to the coast but if I can slip a drag race in on the way Hell Yeah I'am in.
I may have to see if there is a safe place to park a car on the trailer while we head to the coast.

I'm sure I can find you a safe place to park your car & trailer in Reynolds.
I've been to Midway more than once. I love to spend time in that old cenetery. I expect it's the only one in USA that has the graves of TWO of the signers of tthe Declaration of Independence.

    That would be great.
If I pull this off I will have some major brownie points banked up with the wife.

Just let me know if you decide to do this ahead of time and I'm sure I can work it out. The track owner/ promoter liuves less than a mile from the shop and has plenty of space, and I have another friend who lives there in Reynolds also who is a gearhead.

  15. You are more than welcome to park your rig at my shop. It is about 38 miles due east of Reynolds and not too far from I-75 or I-16.

New gate time for RWYB 10 on 11/07/2015 is now 9 am instead of 11 am.

Scot, will it be AT the shop or IN the shop? I was thinking of Ed, as he has a big shop.

  18. Depends on how big it is. I have a bay open in my 3 bay 2400 sq ft shop, but there is also a 1/2 acre there to accommodate truck, trailer & car(s) if need be. There are cameras there and with all the junk I have outside, no one has messed with anything and nothing has ever went missing. Also have neighbors that keep an eye on the place when I'm not there.

Salt Flats, what are you planning on bringing to RWYB @ SDR if you make the trip? Since my roadster has only lap belts and no roll bar, along with a pretty stout SBC, I only run the 1/8.

No but I will. My junk is not very aerodynamic. And gets a little hairy in the 1/4. So who ever is a head at the 1/8 between us wins. If that is alright?
