My brother has one that my dad restored. It's a 1946 Mercury.

 

Studebaker made a wagon like this too, trying to save costs the rear doors would interchange side to side with the front doors.

Found the pic I had. Raymond Lowery was out and Brooks Stevens was in as the designer. Prototype wagon was built by Italian coachbuilder Sibona-Bassano for 16.5K! Maybe they built the sedan too, I don't know.

 

Studebaker had assembly plants in several places throughout the world. The first picture here shows a special build convertible used by the President of Israel as a parade vehicle.
