Ok, I'll ask, Does anyone know what this is? I see Packard wheels, a body that from the windshield back resembles an Auburn Speedster, some GM'ish looking features as well toward the front..

JJ , was called dirty britches in high school by Jimmy Johnson, fb coach ,must have been looking at her ass to notice . Listen to her almost every time I drive in my 39 truck . CD stuck in my player . LOL

 

Thanks. It looks like my observations were about right and no one has the complete story on this one. I agree with the comments that it was probably on the Packard chassis.

Swi, several of your latest pics look like the Paxton. Might be 1952? It was Porsche powered, only one built. I've been lucky enough to see it twice. The headlight buckets and bumpers are fiberglass and chrome plated, first time done.

 

The fifth pic. down, that scale model that has "starship Enterprise" rocket-pods on the rear wings, a British custom car builder called Steve Saunders, or maybe Andy Saunders, built a full size working version of it. I'll see if I can find a link.
