Well after talking to some friends who are more knowledgeable than me. I have decide to flycut the valve reliefs. I plan on pulling heads apart next week and replace any suspect valves. Also going to put in stronger valve springs.

Just a quick question. If you were a engine shop would you deliver a crank with edges like this on them? I was able to break pieces off with my finger.

Looking at the burrs and such along the edge I would be worried about scraps in the oil passages. Looks like pretty shabby workmanship.

Very nice build. Why did you choose the transverse spring set up? I'm thinking about a gasser build and I was wondering which way to go, I don't want the sky high stance. Keep the build going, can't wait to see it finished!

That's garbage in my opinion. How can you not question every aspect of the machine work or engine assembly. My 2cents any how

I know it has been awhile since I posted. But finally got the body sitting back on the frame finally. Still working on rebuilding the short block.

Got most of the parts to reassemble the engine. Just trying to get time to do it. Found the cause of piston to valve clearance. Valve springs only had 146lbs at installed height of 1.880 on a Isky 505c solid roller cam.
