We just returned from Georgetown, Colorado after attending the Hot Rod Hill Climb weekend event. We drove our '32 Ford 5 window coupe 2180 miles and I have shifted hundreds and hundreds of times over the past 5 days! Our car did not qualify for the Hill Climb itself on Saturday but we were happy to watch the race and cheer on the drivers. We were able to participate in the Reliability Run on Friday which was for pre 1964 vehicles and it was a spectacular drive. We had a great time. Many thanks to the organizers of this weekend event who seemed to think of everything. Amy was the point person on Friday's run and we thought then she was a bundle of energy. That was nothing compared to the work she did on Saturday as the flag girl! To start off, here are some pictures from Friday's Reliability Run.

The Reliability Run was 66 miles through the mountains including Squaw Pass Road with elevation of 10,600 ft.

We heard there were 80+ vehicles participating in the Reliability Run. Colorado is beautiful but no 93 octane gas and the traffic on I 70 around Denver is unreal.

Just in case you missed this (and that is unlikely), I think this picture has a lot of what we are looking for: a good looking woman, a checkered flag and a chopped coupe with a guy driving with his arm hanging out. The only thing missing might be tattoos on his arm and a rolled up pack of Lucky Strikes. This is traditional!

Thank you Hot Rod Hill Climb for a great weekend!
