Pretty serious heat when it almost reaches the very top of your thermometer! Now that's dedication. Now I feel guilty because I keep talking myself out of going out to the garage. It's only 102 here today.

I can't wait for your first post about all of the gawkers as you go cruising to the local escargot joint (figured it was more likely than a burger joint)!

  8. I had no idea it would be so hot in France. Are you in the southern part of the country? With it that hot does the postal girl wear shorts or maybe a swim suit????!!! The car sure is looking good. When do you think you'll be able to drive it? Tim

Be sure to clean the tool REALLY well. If any bit of paint remains in it the wheel may decide to lock up. I've revived some in laquer thinner. Before you load it to use next time give it a test roll or 2 on your hand to make sure its all clear

X 2 on cleaning the Beugler - I have one and love it for striping certain things like wheels for example - but use a brush on most other stuff. Advise - works very good on paper - works alot different on steel - practice on glass or a mirror -

Cool and quite resourceful recycling of a part that would often be thrown away.

    Beautiful!
I can just imagine some day in the distant future someone will be trying to recreate this amazing car and trying to figure out what part you used for the light!

  23. Hi Rata,

I did not know that there are living in the wild Leopards in France. Be careful when posting such pics or Greenpeace might be after you...
    Cool car - cool thread!

If it was morning I would have spit my coffee, it's hilarious.
I have a question : how did you get the skirts on? On both of mine the hubs protrudes too much and there is no way to mount any unless I widen the rear fenders or build bubble skirts.

Hello Crisp, my fender skirts are handmade by myself in polyester (the only part in plastic, i don't like working this material).

The only way to keep a strait bottom line on the skirts (mine are slightly curves), is to lowering the rear suspension at low as you can (like my car...) and of course, no "cambered" hubcaps, that's because i have choose moondisc, others hubs cannot fit without touch "strait inline skirts" (by the way, i must fix my rear moondiscs this week..)....so bubble skirt is the solution.....
