Yeah, some of my pals came over and saw my 354 on the big tubular stand..."It's SO HUGE!"
Then I set it in the '32 rails under my '27 tub. Holy Shift! Even with my 2X4 Edmunds intake and Scintilla Vertex, it looks like it just nestled in there...
My Chrysler's black, with some 'glitter'...(lots of polished aluminum)
I was dead set on using my 276 Desoto, for its more 'amiable size'. Glad I didn't!
My son Rich (richinsanazay) planted his Desoto Hemi in his '25 Dodge Coupe. Said it looked like a SBC with Desoto valve covers!
Space constraints didn't allow for trying engines, as I only have a 2.5 car garage up front and my 25' X 25' shop in back...
(oh, I have a few projects going at the same time. Wish I could grow outa that!)
    Love your 'T' Coupe!!!!!
    Please resist chopping it.

  2. Resisting chopping is not in the cards for me.....see posting #1400 (WOW! This is getting to be a LOOOONG THREAD!) I understand about having too many projects going at the same time....ain't it FUN? Today I went over to a friend's chicken farm and pulled a '54 Chrysler out of the weeds. I bought the 331 4-bbl. that's in it a couple of years ago. He has sold the farm.....not bought the farm....so I have to get the motor soon. It's going in my '53 Studebaker. It will be RED!

Now I am so jealous! Can one person have too many cool cars? I suppose not, but he is pushing the envelope. :D

I like the mild angle-cut chop on this one. Like to see more pictures of it with the doors on.

Mine. I had a perimeter frame that I built years ago for another project but it sat in a corner. I finally decided it was time to build it. 12 week build from body and bare perimeter to driving. Now coming apart to get the frame and suspension all painted and start getting the body set to paint.

  26. So tell us about what you did with the rear section behind the doors to get that shape on the rear quarter windows. How much did you chop it?

I took 5" out of the body length behind the doors and cut 7" out of the top but, only 5 out of the back window. I wanted to be able to drop the bottom edge of the back window so that it was closer to the same distance above the belt line as all the other windows. Took the body length out in an attempt to make the quarter window not appear so flat as well as to keep that 5" out of the wheel base.

  28. Man I miss my Coupe,

    I sold it last October

This reminds me of it with the same stance etc, good job.

Thanks! It's getting raised a touch in back though. Your old coupe is Bitchin! I dig those front wheels. They kinda resemble an aluminum version of a wood T wheel.
