Thanks, I knew Larry had that shop. He also had owned a Shell at Belt Line and Coit before buying the shop on Reeder. That place was owned by Henry Schroder (moose), when Larry bought it. Luke Nicodemus worked ot of the rear where the TV shows are now filmed. I didn't know if Larry was active in racing earlier or not.

Shanghai Courts may still be there but Sivils and Beverly Hills Dairy are long gone.But the old Torch Restrauant building is still there, but the old Chalk Hill Drive In is gone also.

Stillrunners, I went to Fry's wrecking yard soon after I moved to Dallas in 1981. It was a trip back in time.

Karl,,The Kirbys also were on the trip to Monterey with us in 1958...its too bad that when L C died,Mrs Kirby threw all of his old drag photos in the trash...L C was a photographer by trade,so I expect he had photos of all cars and not just of his own...
