    As I've always said---
The good news is there is a lot of information on the internet
The bad news is there is a lot of information on the internet.
Just be glad there are people who know the facts so history can be accurately preserved.
Much thanks to all who contribute to one of my go-to threads.

  4. Spooler - Ryan cleaned up the thread a while back. The H.A.M.B. is a traditional hot rod site. The posts on this and other threads should pertain to something automotive to be O/T.

  5. This thread was somewhat of an exception But it did get pinup laden and that material was edited.

I'm hoping someone can help me. My dad said that this was a 1949 Hillman. He sold it in the mid '60's. For years, I've looked online and not found a Hillman that looks like this. Anyone know? Thanks. 1949 Hillman.jpg

I thought so, too, but what throws me is the suicide front doors. And a slight hump in back, as well as having semaphores.

    ^Looks like a winner.

  26. Like keef59, I wanna know what car it is on this picture. It shows my grandpa in the early 1950s with his car. I guess it is an American car. American made cars were pretty rare in the Netherlands at that time.

^1945-46 Mercury. I think from '47 on the grille surround was chrome or polished stainless.
