Kids are the best helpers! My kids love being in the garage.

Got a little work done over the weekend.
Connected clutch linkage , mounted and plumbed the oil filter, finished the fuel line to the fire wall, installed the firewall insulator, test fitting grill and radiator to get it aligned for a hood.
I had some good help too.

Would like to get the dash in and start wiring next weekend.

With ALL the great builds on here, that means a lot.
My helpers are pretty special, they have always been around my cars and projects. They get mad when they have to ride in mom's car.

  9. Now that's a great Father's Day weekend activity. Congrats on having them around. Hope it stays that way for you.

So, what, it'll be done in a couple of weeks, right?

It needs to be done in the next couple weeks. I had next week off work to dedicate to the car, but plans just changed today. Gonna have to burn the midnight oil. Still trying for debut at the hill climb.

Like the old saying says, "when the shoe fits, wear it...."

Actually it's a handme down from big brother, her name tag should say "Rosie" cause she is good with a hammer in bad places.

    Such a tasty dash.

  17. You are making me look bad as I am not getting as much done on the 3 window as you are on the 5 window. But I am in that dam block sanding stage and nothing seems to be going very fast.
It is looking great Tim. Can't wait to see it at Platte City show this year.

I've been doing some wiring. Getting close to hitting the start button. Maybe one more weekend and it should be ready.

Man, that looks good. I like how you mounted the oil filter on the firewall, and showing off those nice Edmunds heads.

Got a little more work done this past weekend. Headlights work, turn signals work. Replacement re-prop sockets for 32 headlights are junk. The terminal that contacts the bulb are shit. They actually don't hold position and end up contacting the inside if the socket and ends up shorting to ground. That took me a while to figure out.

Had some good help this weekend prepping a few small parts for paint: gas pedal, column drop, taillight brackets, etc. Later that day, Sam painted what he prepped. His new nickname is Runs. image.jpg
