Yeah, that stunk! I had another 6 minute timer as soon as 8:00AM hit, and when that ran out it was another 6 minute timer. Way to raise $80,000 in 7 minutes!

*EDIT* Even when this was real time, I knew there was no way they sold out in 7 minutes. I mean, c'mon. ;)

  3. The timer reset for me too. Guess I missed out again...

  4. The website wouldn't even let me try and put my details in. The timer just kept counting down to zero and then starting again at 2 minutes and 7 seconds. Oh well back to bed I guess.... 1 am here.

Every time I refreshed it went to 6 minutes. So refreshing was a bad idea.

Mine reset to two minutes, missed out. Sadly I now feel less motivated to renew my subscription. Well, you win some and lose some.

That was the biggest BS scam lately . I'm sure that they made a lot of money , but they sure upset a lot more . I hit the computer at 8 am on the button and got nowhere . Think that I'll check out that beach front property in Alaska .

At 28 years old, my lifetime subscription would have been awesome to have. (Provided the lifetime of the magazine was over 5 years) Maybe that's why I didn't get one...

On the other hand...i still love TRJ and will renew my subscription.
You can't build a business on lifetime subscriptions.

Maybe there are more computer savvy hot-rodders out there than we think! I think the server crashed and TRJ headquarters' phones blew up.

I waited for 8:00 as well, didn't even get a chance to try...timer counted down, went negative, then just the add showing what I wanted, but can't get. How did this happen?

TRJ broke the internet! Haha I'd be surprised if anyone actually got to buy a subscription through the website when the sale was supposed to start. We all seem to be having the same exact problem. Just give it time guys. Im sure they are doing their best. They didnt HAVE to sell anymore lifetime subscriptions.

Well, I'm renewing for two years anyways. That way, I won't be disappointed if I outlive the magazine!

Hey fellas... It does indeed suck that you didn't get a lifetime subscription if you wanted one, but you gotta be able to put yourself in TRJ's shoes for a bit too... They couldn't afford to sell as many lifetime subscriptions as demand dictated. If they did that, there would be no TRJ.

Hell, I thought it was pretty damned noble to offer 400 more after the first sale. I know they only did it as they were worried about all of the people didn't get a chance at the first offering. They don't want people pissed at them anymore than anyone else does...

Point being, they are trying hard to be customer centric. They always have.

Yeah...I'll have to agree that offering up another batch of lifetimer's was pretty cool, it's just too bad that the technology isn't up to the demand. Good fer you Rodder's Journal!

Check their site again. It might just "magically" start working.

Due to the large amount of site traffic, roddersjournal.com was down earlier. It is now up and running and we still have Lifetime subscriptions available. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. —TRJ
