Onto the next build, a 1930 Tudor Sedan powered by a Model A banger. I acquired this body already chopped 3" but needing some love and care. Looks like it was being prepped for a street rod setup with the recessed firewall, small tub in the rear wells, gutted tank and filled neck, ect. I'm not much for street rods and those fancy gadgets and digital gauges... so this is going back to it's roots. The plans are to keep the chop, put the front tank and original firewall back in place, fix the wheel wells back to original. The chassis will be lowered 3" or so, nothing crazy as I still want to keep it comfortable for the family. Banger will get some hop-up treatment... head, modern dizzy, downdraft & 97, exhaust of some sort, new lightened flywheel and clutch. Also going 12V so the wife can charge her cell phone on those long trips . Wheels and tires are up in the air...
Where is Schaffertown ? I'm in western Pa. I have a nice ordg. firewall and tank that I'd trade for what you've taken out ..
Hey Larry, I'm between Hershey and Reading. I already put in an original firewall and tank, but send me a PM if you are interested in the recessed one I cut out. Making progress... The not so exciting body fab and mock up stages are in full swing.
Moving and shaking yesterday with the help of two friends. Tackled most of the chop welds, finalized the front floor braces and mocked up the hood.
Thanks guys. Had do some rearranging to get the coupe in. After 8 months of sitting, finally got the coupe running again.
