Feel like I'm in kustom heaven looking at these!
Tom, did you (or anyone else) get a shot of the blue Willys Aero in the right background of this photo?

Thanks for posting the pics. Awesome shots as usual.

  15. I love all the finished amazing rides in this thread. Really refreshing to see such beautiful work ... That being said, I really like that Jeep wagon. Its really not what I would consider my "style", but I would drive the wheels off of it.

    Tom...

Once again, your pix are awesome ! Need to get out there to see that show one of these years !! (Penny came to the KKOA Lead Sled last year...great gal !)

One of my "Dream Cars", on my "gonna build this someday" list, is to mate the front clip of a '61 Invicta/LeSabre to a '61 Olds Holiday like this one. They're basically the same body, and It would be one Monster Bullet Machine coming & going !!!

    Thanks again,
    Jonnie www.legends.thewwbc.net

    Thanks, all.

CG, the Jeep was clever; while the fake patina thing is overdone in general, I do appreciate a job well done when I see it. The decals had to be on those windows for a long time to crack the way they were, so I don't think that part was faked.

Jonnie, is that model Olds a long wheelbase? Mating those two is a cool idea that would certainly mess with the average car lover's mind!

WOW, outstanding cars and trucks, not a cull in the lot. Thanks for taking the time to shoot and share these beautiful rods and customs with us.

I culled the cull when I was on the fairgrounds lot at Santa Maria!

No, Tom, the Invicta and the Super 88 are both 123" wb. , and the bodies are close in their basic architecture. (The Buick Electra and the Olds 98 are 126" wb.) So, the swap would only take a little massaging to accomplish the fit, and you're right it would mess with a lotta minds !

  29. Thanks for your efforts, Tom. That painted a perspective on that event better than I had ever seen. :)

Tom, I've said it before, but I'll say it again, your pic's are second to none. Outstanding coverage of a wonderful show.
