The pictures I have posted are either Alberta cars, which I've seen or know of their whereabouts, or from our local buy/sell ad site, which have ads for some very cool iron! I love finding anything sitting, with the excitement of potentially buying, or dealing on the gems. I try to help out any way I can to pass along info in the hopes someone will buy and rescue these cars before they're gone. However, as many of you know, some people collect, or keep, their cars, refusing to sell, or preferring to remain anonymous, letting the cars sit and rot. I hope some of the pictures I've posted are as interesting to you as they are to me, and hopefully some of them can be saved eventually!

  10. As interesting to us as they are to you? Ha, most of us just sit here silently in awe.

  11. Schreibs, looks like that Canadian tin stays pretty solid up there. None of those look as rusty as I thought they would be up in snow country.

    It's a dry snow......

  13. You mean its not like snow down south that is more like a "slushy"?o_O

  14. Like the looks of that '49 Meteor--pretty much a '49 Ford with a '49 Merc grille and chrome grille surround. And a hood made more like a '51 Ford.

Went back to a place my picking buddy and I fondly refer to as Cadillac Ranch. We bought/sold a 66 XKE from this place, but the focus is Caddys... c1.jpg c2.jpg c3.jpg c4.jpg

The ad was for the truck itself, but I saw the tudor and thought it was pretty cool! All I know is that it was for sale not far from here, just across the border in Saskatchewan!

I love the Meteors, and have personally sold a matching Meteor hood and grille/surround to a fellow car guy in the United States for a Ford project he's building...it bolts right in!

Thanks, southern Alberta used little salt on our roads during winter, and it's usually seasonally pretty dry around here. We do have those cars, though, that are rusty due to lack of windows for extended times, or have been stuffed with mouse nests and mud, leading to the dreaded rust monster.
