Radiator will be painted black.. Offshore model, $160 delivered.. Am using one in my other coupe and runs almost to cool.. Don't want to get in radiator battle so I'll shut up now...

  2. I like the look of the Model A radiator shell.

Deuce shells are pretty but you see them on everything.

  3. That's cool (no pun intended:rolleyes:), I have a tape measure.

I don't like radiator battles......they are just like wheelbarrow battles!:D

Good looking coupe and it's great to see a Model A with it's proper radiator shell instead of the too common 32 Ford one. Looks like you started with a good body for your project.

Body doesn't have any rust but there's not a straight panel on it.. Might not be a problem for some but my body skills are about as good as my welding skills, which suck.. I'm more about the build and how it looks from 20, ok 30 feet.. I really like Model A's and the hamb has a lot of them.. Yea, I also like model A radiator shells on model A's ...

A Model A with a Model A radiator shell! Love it. We gotta start realizing that sometimes original is different!
    Now go feed the birds.

What I pay in bird seed would buy some cool hot rod parts but it keeps the wife happy...

Nice rod, what mill? Where is the last pedal?

There is just sum thing about an A-bone, simple, sinister, cool, humble and avalible!

And that doesn't make your accomplishment any smaller!!

You can come a long way with a hammer dolly set and a Simon Cowell DVD!!
Don't give up on the bodywork when you made it so fare?

I like the stance, the rubber rake. Ya'll have much nicer looking bus seats than we do! I put a hinge at the front of mine so the whole thing tilts forward, a nice little storage compartment underneath.Good Luck!

Looks very Kool. I belong to a motorcycle fourm also and I swear there are some of the ugliest bikes being built. I post a thread(on the cycle fourm) that says exactly what your thread is all about. Roll it out of the goddamn garage stand back and look at your creation. You cant see what it looks like when you are 10 feet away from the car(or bike). BTW I dig the whitewalls!!

    The BELCOM method

BEer, LawnChair and Old Music, sit down after every work session and look at all things that you made, from different sides/angles and relax have a beer and be proved of your work!
That is almost as important as swap meet skills and and a good welder!

This is such a simple and beautiful rod you got there Scrap, I bet it takes a lot of work keeping it simple. And I'm not a "chop it, chop it hard" guy, but despite that I believe you nailed it.

    Very nice
I'd like to see how you went about raising the header, I'll bet it would help quite a bit. Really like the chop.

  27. Can I ask what the windscreen measurement is from the top to the bottom or vice visa across the narrowest opening please as we have a limit here in New Zealand we can chop our roofs but I do like yours extremely well.

header 001.JPG header 002.JPG With a 6 1/4" chop the windshield height is 6".. I am not finished with the header yet, but basically got rid of the header wood and laid 1" angle about 1" above the A post and drilled holes in it to mount windshield to, giving me the 6" windshield height...
