Maybe if the visor wasn't so pronounced and stuck out less?? Beautiful either way.

Wow, this is great. Every time I open up the post there are more Christmas presents! (At least it feels that way) Badass shots, Tom! Love the pic of Blake's sedan with the checkered flag! He wins again! (the Bastard!)

Tom--I make it a point to follow all your picture posts as you have a great eye. Having received my new Rodders Journal today, I am also in awe of your earlier T Shirt related career.....

Not to mention the Custom Paint years....there should be another thread just for that stuff....:)

Seatex, I think someone else put the flags on Blake's deuce, he discovered them while I was there shooting it.

Kiwi, I didn't take photos when I was a kid painting those cars. The picture of the Beatnik Bandit that TRJ featured is the only photo I have ever seen...of the car that I painted! I never bothered to take photos in that era. Who knew it would be history some day?

That's the prettiest GMC blower I've ever seen. The combination of as-cast (or sandblasted) and polished details is really great looking.

The matching finishes on the valve covers work, too.

Well, I did take a lot of snapshots in the '60's, just not enough of the cars I painted.

There is a large chapter in The Rodder's Journal Scrapbook hardcover, featuring a lot of snapshots of some of my own cars and shots I took in the pits at major drag events. Also iconic showcars.

Tom--It figures. I had thought about getting the Scrapbook, but after I had done my usual procrastination, they were sold out. Now I will have to see if I can get a copy somewhere. And now I have to subscribe to the new Hop Up as well, and there is JJ#3 AS WELL....

Who said that print was dead.....:D

Tom, you are to hot rods as Leanardo was to the Sistine Chapel, a true master of your craft. I appreciate the hell out of looking through these pics with my coffee and wishing I was there watching you photograph. Thanks!

I'm confused. Were there two of these prowling around, or is the second from pre paint?

The brown shot was taken in the regular parking lot at last year's Roundup.
