Hot Rods Before and After Thread

I've posted mine in similar threads before, but not for quite a while. At least PARTS of it are finished.

Great thread. It's got me motivated to keep working on my car. Sometimes I get to thinking it'll never look nice and get discouraged but some of these before and afters make me feel a lot better!

Sailingadventure - The 'Vette is stunning. The white/blue pinstriped accents are perfect, just enough. The car really ''flows''. Bonus: the paint dabbing chalk markers would cringe at it!

 

What is the plan for this build, may I ask?

 

This is a `37 Studebaker with a 401 Nailhead Buick, non Hamb friendly suspension, (late model Corvette) It`s been sectioned 3" and has `37 President front sheet metal which makes it 9" longer than a Dictator Coupe which is what it started out as.. The wheelbase is 125"

Heres my sons 1962 Pontiac Catalina. Purchased out of Newark NJ in a heavy industrial area where I swear the ground was bubbling from all the toxic waste. This actually was a decent car until a truck backed into it and later it caught fire. We bought it when he was 14 now 24. I know shes not hamb friendly but, I sold her 10 years ago and been looking for her since, and shes a station wagon.I finally found here again.Like the 56 buick wagon she was in storage. She will be crusizing in about a month or so.Bruce.

 

Paint looks good but man Its screamin for at least some kind of cool wheels and tires.

This Roadster was channeled 6" . I put it back to stock and finished it in less than a year but after that I've been going through Banger engines. (3 this year!) The last one broke a Scat crank. I'm now running a C crank with my fingers crossed. I'm currently gathering parts to build a 5 main lower end for it!

I wish I could see more of this post. What people can do with what they start with is amazing and inspiring.

 

My latest project. 1964 Corvair Greenbrier Sport wagon. Took less than a month. All I had to do was send it to Maaco for the final topcoat, install the new trim that came with the deal and source some correct tires and wheel covers. Still working on the interior; new seat covers for all three bench seats and then new seat belts to secure the grandkids when we take them in the Greenbrier to Ice Cream!

What you guys do is nothing short of jaw-dropping in some cases. That level of skill & craftsmanship is otherworldly IMO. Great, great thread.

 

Not quite finished yet. Been working on it on and off for 5 years. Hope to have it out this summer.
