Surprised at the "F THE DMV", but then again, there may have been a sympathizer at work that day. ...made me think of F T A , but would need some additional letters/numbers Joe Walsh fan, eh?
I have two in mind, one I will not give out, the other is GTOVRIT (It's an Eagles song and has nothing to do with Pontiacs GTO). I am Butch/56sedandelivery.
I found this one interesting not only for its age & patina, but for the kid's art work on it. It looks like some sort of creature & an old car etched on it. Also, there's a "Maker's Number," which is actually the V.I.N. for the car that it was on. In PA, in 1920 & earlier, there was actually a spot for the number on the Keystone, but that practice was discontinued in 1921. I guess the habit died hard for someone, because they felt compelled to etch it on the plate themselves.
This is the 4th post I've made on this thread. My wife says, "Goodness you've wasted a lot of money on license plates for cars you no longer even have. You're going to have to keep the '32 Ford." I'm done.
Here's one I saw at a swap meet and passed it up (more than I wanted to pay). So, I told my wife about it and we decided to go back and get it and it was gone... my birthday came along and there it was. My wife got it for $15 right out from under me! lol
I had one on my hearse that I had in high school it said BM-59... Which is there's any chemistry you people out there I know that that's the periodic table of elements for barium ( burry 'um) lol I sure thought it was funny the only person that ever got it was a high school chemistry teacher
Here's another in my collection... My wife got this one from a friend of ours in MO and gave it to me for our 32nd Anniversary. (I'm real easy to buy for.) Then a couple weeks later we were in IN and I found another one at a swap meet. Now I have two. We were married in IL July 10, 1976, yes I'm a little patriotic.
over here you've got only the chance to choice the middle letters and the last number (first two digits are the county code) , the last H is for historic.. mine is a random plate, but after reading some of your plates i'd say: Pontiac for age. i don't doubt it.
Here in Texas they just took 370H55V away from a guy that had it for several years. Post when you get it.
