Is it killing you to wait for GSTA to clean it up? With the forecast looking good I am getting the itch bad to get the good cars out!!!!!

I'm glad you're going to restore it to it's original build....eventually.

  6. Awesome!! A '36 coupe is next on my bucket list. Congrats on the find.

Thanks for the all great compliments, im super stoked about getting this car.

This weekend (the 11th and 12th of april) the 36 will be at the Gopher State Timming Associations 59th annual Rod and Custom Spectacular.

the last 3 years of the show ive done a survivor hot rod display, so why make it different this year, only difference is ill just have one car in the end spot where as i usually put two, its mainly cause this thing takes up so much real estate!

My buddy Doug will have his Survivor Tall T coupe in the spot over and my other freind will have his US Mail vette drag car that has alot of Mn history too.

Come on down and see em

    heres a link.

What an incredible find. I always wonder when I read storys like this, how in the hell a high school kid ever had money to hire all the work done. I remember high school, pumping gas and saving up just to afford plug wires or brake shoes.

Saw the car at the show, looking forward to the cleaned up version, perhaps at BBT50's
So was the birds nest actually as found or a staged prop?

the birds nest was staged by a freind.

Congrats on finding a real keeper.
I think you should work on having this car in its "refreshed/rejuvenated/polished-up" form at the 60th show next year as well. Given the history and the story behind it, it would be a perfect fit.

well, got it all washed up, didnt take too many pics yet, been super busy on a few other projects, heres a quick video of washing it.

ill get some more pics of it when i get it unburried again in the next few weeks, it cleaned up ok, probably 75% of the paint still on it.
