Playing with a newly created 3d model based on the scan. I can try out anything I want now color wise or interior sheet metal

  3. That's cool! I use Pro Engineer 3D CAD and that would take a while to model. 3D scanners take all the work out of it.

That's actually modeled over the scan. The scan is mesh data, but I actually surface modeled the whole body. Only took 45 minutes. But I do surface modeling everyday for work .

You sir, have a fine build going on there. Its good to see somebody save one of the old GM bodies.
    Nice work.

Made some body mounts on my plasma table then roughed out the rear subrails. And then pulled the whole back end straight and aligned the quarters I built the best I could.

These off brand cars are getting scarce, the fact that you have saved 2 of them is quiet an accomplishment. Have a cold one on me,

Thanks guys. Started on a new inner structure for the pass door today

ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1431573921.415919.jpg curved flanges are really fun. Seriously.

But you'll never know..it helped me hold it in place without a full inner structure built.

  15. As per usual it looks great! That 3d model of the car body that you did also looks really nice. I like the black and gold color scheme the best.

  18. Ditto here; another carcass brought back from the dead. And it can only be done with the high degree of metal-working skills that you possess.
