Event Coverage Official 2015 Viva Las Vegas Car Show Thread

Tom Ingram presents Viva Las Vegas #18, and it is shaping up to be the biggest yet! The dates are April 2-5, 2015.

Performing at the Car Show:

*DION ~ King of Doo Wop !

*THE SONICS ~ Legendary 60's Garage !

*KITTY DAISY & LEWIS ~ Famous siblings taking the world by storm!


*DJ Del Villareal will be DJ'ing and announcing all day.



The VLV Car Show continues to be FREE to the first 500 Car & Driver's that register . You have read this right, FREE ! You must still pre register and submit a "Side View" photo of your vehicle for approval. Car show is for pre 1964 traditional Hot Rods, Customs, and Classics only.

*There will be a HUGE 60's Gasser display!
*There will also be an authentic Custom Display (indoor car show-outside). Just some of the cars will be Larry Watson's "Grapevine", Larry Watson's '58 T-Bird, "The Polynesian", and many more!
*There will be stars from the movie American Graffiti.
*Movie Cars on display.
*Dragster Display.
* $100 cash awards to each winner!
* Custom awards made by Wild Bill & Axle!
* Vendors, Beer Garden, Sailor Jerry booth, Gretsch booth, Special guests, and much more!

Also booked for the weekend are:

Doo Wop Allstar show - Cleftones, Five Keys, The Jive Five, & Bobby Lewis.

Stars of Rockabilly - Joe Clay - Huelyn Duvall.

Marti Brom, Levi & the Rockats, Furious, The Go-Getters, and OVER 100 other bands and 25 top DJ's !!!


Rooms at the Orleans are totally booked but nearby hotels such as Gold Coast, Palms, & Tropicana might have availability . Mention "Viva Las Vegas" when booking a room, and Don't forget , free shuttle bus rides to and from .

Me two, 6 of us flying out from Iowa and staying at the Orleans . Our 3rd time, what a blast, and the music is out of this world, can't wait.

 

Would be nice to bring that car in your avatar ;-)

 

Yea Axle, I wish I could but I sold it to a guy in San Diego, and I just saw he listed it for sale on craiglist out there.

 

Flying out for the week from KC, booked rooms at Main Street Casino for $27 a night! (except Fri/Sat $45).

 

We are coming from New Hampshire. Its about time we got away from all this snow!!!

The "Rambuncious" Willys and a bunch of other Gassers will be on special display!

 

"Doc Hudson" & "Dragula" will also be on display.

 

We're also going to have a very nice line up of fantastic Customs - Larry Watson's '58 T-Bird, The Grapevine, The Polynesian, and many others!

 

Can I bring my Rat Rod? I have lots of Skullz on it!!!!

 

As the Official Car show photographer, you know my lame ass will be there.
