5:53am,just finished wrestling the passenger side into submission. After a 7 hr battle,I have 90% of the repairs and reinforcements done and welded in,all remaining pieces cut and bent, and just need to come back tomorrow and finish fitting and welding the spring pocket and inner wheel housing and associated brackets.
I'm feeling pretty good right now.At this rate we might make the Meltdown with 2 or 3 hours to spare....lol!

    Tricky Steve-

Great video of Cheryl...attitude is the key to getting through anything. I will never forget the first time I met you guys and the happiness that Cheryl spread as she ran that truck down the track over and over again. You guys are great people and our thoughts are with you.

Steve prayers to you and your princess. Cancer sucks. The dyno offer is cool of you, I have been trying to gather the rest of my parts and get mine running enough to bring it down. So far it hasnt went well I finally have it running kind of.

Too many bad things happen to nicest people, making that video was a brave thing to do.

    Haha!:)

There was some hack-job,half assed repair done 30 years ago with fiberglass, and when I cut into it back there while splitting the inner wheelhousing to widen it a couple inches to center up the tire better,I got a little itchy and pissed off....lol

So I scored it with the zip wheel on the grinder to help it come out in manageable sized chunks, then lit it on fire with a propane torch to soften it,so I could lift it all out with a putty knife.

Looks pretty crazy in the pictures,huh..?:)

Should have the passenger side wrapped up tomorrow, and start on the driver's side Sunday night:)

Hope to have all that nastiness behind me soon.

Still need to add trunk mount battery and cutoff switch, new alternator, finish up the motor, change back to stock seats, run new fuel line, plumb and wire line lock, rebuild transmission, fab shifter linkage, build new rear end, paint hood, rebuild carbs, and learn to drive.

    All before July,while working nights....lol
