After tearing the motor apart over the last month and working two jobs . . . finally got this thing 99% done . . .

Got to mill on the barrel valve some as my new hoses don't quite clear but otherwise it's done.

Off to find some nitromethane

I can't speak for anyone but myself, but here's one Sock Fucker that will be there. Had a blast last year, and look forward to trying again, this time with slicks. Which reminds me, I gotta scrub the white letters off them, I suppose?

Tyler hated to miss the parking lot invite this past weekend. Have you tried it out yet?

 

Danny, no plans to bring it to SIM, cause I wanta try BGII with slicks this time. Can't tow the trailer with the '40, and it's not my policy to drag race that far from home with a car I gotta drive home! Also, can't bring the slicks and camping gear in BGII. However, I do plan on being at Greer, for that show with the '40.
Planning on driving it up and spectating, hopefully some of our guys will be running there. No plans to do any drag racing in the '40.

 

No, life got in the way

Had to mow the yard because I'm sure after this week of rain my yard will be a jungle . . . had to run up to home depot, had to get oil filters, battery was dead for the winch on the trailer, tires were flat . . . etc.

It's ready to run now save the one fuel line behind the barrel valve . . . have to pull it off and throw it on the mill and lob a hair off the side.

 

For those of you that are coming to Steel in Motion and don't know what the South East Gassers are all about here is a short video that was just done. The race footage is early Friday morning First round of qualifying at the Rockingham race last week. See yall May 15th

That is an exceptionally scary concept.

 

Not just a show, not just a drag race, no parkin' lot sit n' whine BS. Hell, it's like a state fair, somethin' for everybody! Gals, hot rods, race cars, shiney cars, bands, good food, swap, vendors, campin', great folks, it's all there. Get your shiniqua together, clear ya calender, it's comin' up. Less than month now......NOT TO BE MISSED!
