I placed my collection of 1940 plates from each of the 50 states around the pickup. Still short Alaska, Mississippi and Louisiana. I had several HAMB members stop by and say Hi!

Great build. You worked hard to make it run & look just perfect. Congratulations on completing your truck & having it show worthy.
Thank you for this excellent build thread.

Several pages back I talked about taking time off from the build to take care of my parents needs. My dad lost his battle this week at age 96. You think you are prepared but nothing takes you by surprise like loosing a loved one. I was hoping to take him for a ride and attending a local Shiners show in the truck this spring. I will be there anyway just to honor his days as a Mason and Shriner. RIP dad!

My condolences for your loss. I treasure a memory of taking my father to a rod run in a 50 Chevrolet pick up I had at the time. It was a fun day! I am sure you have many good memories to treasure of time spent with your father and I hope you are able to call on those and possibly your faith during the coming days.

Sorry for your loss. I'm sure your Dad will be along for the Shriner's show ride and probably every other ride as well! I am pleased to hear that you had him until he was 96. Most of us are not granted that much time together... I hope you will find at least some consolation in your great memories made with your Dad. I'm certain he was very proud of you and your many accomplishments.
    God bless,
    Al

Thanks all! He was proud, every time I drove one of my cars to his retirement center, he would gather up anyone who would come out and look.

I had a chance to use a professional photo booth while my truck was being shot for a calendar. Took my camera and here are a few of my shots. Fun day!
