I may be almost as anxious as you are to button this baby up! I am looking forward to your "first cruise" pictures.

Chris was finishing up the cool '57 Chev in his shop today, he told me to call him late tomorrow am. I buttoned up the underside today and fixed a defective (leaking) fuel filter, what fun. I think that the car will sit a tad lower after everything is installed and settles. This is pretty close. 001 (2).JPG

Great job Jer, and it is beautiful! Looks like you got all the details correct and just like the original Jesse Lopez coupe.

It's really really beautiful. That angle proves that the earlier discussion on the headlights was a photographic illusion - relationship to the grille looks exactly right to me.

Thanks everybody for your accolades and encouragement, they're very much appreciated.

Chris says that the '57 Chev will be picked up next Monday. I told him I would call him Monday am. This time I took my camera.

The car is over the top "LIVE".... workmanship is top notch and if anyone wants to nitpick it..... try duplicating a car using nothing but 60 year old photos. Jer has done an outstanding job on this one !!! :D

003.JPG 004 (2).JPG 005.JPG I'm going to try and get both these cars to my church's (2nd annual?) outdoor car show. Its' on May 2nd. I'll have more info for you shortly.

Jesse's car won't be completely done. I hope to have the upholstery done, the glass/stainless may be done. It may not be completely detailed, and the stock mufflers definitely won't be done. It will be close enough to let you see the authentic car.

I hope the attendees appreciate everything you've been going through to bring these amazing recreations to life!

  22. Wish that was a show I could attend Jerry! I got to see Junior's car at the GNRS and hope I catch you with Jesse's car somewhere one of these days.
