Hey moose I would really appreciate it if you could do a couple things to my car. I would like to see one as it is but without white walls and a small chrome center hub cap. I also was wondering if you could take the headers off and replace them with regular exhaust manifold style headers. Then if it's not too much to ask I wanted to see something totally different and see the car with wire wheel no whitewalls. Thank you. mjcat - I like the blackwalls, small caps, and ram's horns. With whitewalls would be my close second choice. :)

white blank.jpg flake.jpg 60 space ship.jpg orange white.jpg purple.jpg Hi, I am about a week away from having to make a decision on paint scheme. I really like the ones that Moose and Madfish came up with.

    Any more ideas out there?

I think I am going with old school metal flake but am totally undecided with color and scheme. (fade, lace, scallops,. Thank you.

Figure out your concept, that will tell you what to do. Is it a show car or concept car?

This started out as a simple Photochop to see what a 1961 Ranchero
would look like with a shortened pickup box.
It turned into an ode to '60s model building.

You're right, in my mind I am stuck between the two. I originally thought a hot rod, but now that it is getting closer to completion I think it is closer to a late 50's early 60's concept car. Especially with the jet canopies and the "jet thruster" coming out of the rear.

  24. I agree..There's something about that combo the screams the 1960's but no matter what way you go it will be a totally unique show stopper..

Thanks! I hope it turns out well. I agree there is something about the greenish one that makes it look like it was built back then, rather than 2015.

That looks nice. In fact that is not far off it's original color and interior. 6.JPG 3.JPG 11.jpg

Shelby, I just had a thought that would be a lot of work for you, but really cool for me to view. To further the illusion of a space ship or aircraft, each bubble could be set into a raised panel that simulates a fuselage or engine cowling tapering back to it's own T-Bird tail light/rocket exhaust. Probably too late in the project for a major design change.
