Show Off Your Gasser!!

Here's my rattletrap Not really a gasser more f/x. They're real similar though

 

Built this one in 3 months last summer. It's a blast and it's full on old school. An early Frankland quicky,
'56 F100 front end, and a 491 pump gas BBC make this '55 Buick my interpretation of a home-built 60's gasser.

 

Had this 46 a few years ago. Sold it to 16 year old girl. Good body but whoever did the faux gasser thing didn't know what they were doing. Oh well, just another flash in the pan.

 

I LOVE that car!Are you gonna be able to make the Meltdown next year?

Wish I could. Been a hell of a year. Car still isn't finished. I hope to at least attend this year

 

Rocketsled59, very nice car! I hope you make it to the Meltdown Drags! The only bad thing is after you walk around, check the cars out, the smell of burning rubber, racing gas & the smell of delicious burgers cooking! Plus the sight of all this old metal racing! You'll be saying, I should of brought my car! I should of brought my car!

Here`s some pic`s of my 3 gassers .The Falcon was sold earlier this year to build the `33 Willys ,but the `48 Austin is my street gasser.

 

Lots of progress since this photo was taken. The key will turn in less than 90 days.

My buddy has the twin to your A. Gray. Black fenders. It's uncanny. His has magnesium spindle mounts up front and has a flat motor. I dig your car

 

Keep this post goin!! Got this POS runnin. Gotta build a drive shaft and ladder bars. My good buddy just passed away. Best damn wrench there ever was. I lettered hood and fenders as a tribute to him. If I get lucky it might at least be ready to put in the show at gateway in May. Hopefully pullin hole shots this spring! Fingers crossed

Things are going well Cob! Did you get that pesky issue with the Plymouth figured out yet? Maybe, I need to come visit you! There's a chance I'm going to Good Guys in Des Moines in July??? I'm getting VERY close to turning the key now.
