    Great pics!

The black modified... killer. I need some rock guards for my headlights.

The white modified....super sweet - blown banger

The blue pickup - very nice - local builder - props to Ricky Bobby.

    excellent - Thanks

  4. Thanks for the good photo tour. I just learned something that seems very kool to me. That dark blue '30 with the blown Y block built by Hilton has a body I drug out of a No. Cali garage a few years ago. I have nothing to do with the stunning outcome, but just thought it's nice to know that something that passed through my garage once ended up in worthier hands that made something fantastic of it. Here's a pic of it as I found it not all that many years ago Av at work.jpg :

And how days did you walk??
Amazing display of all the right eye candy, painted and not so painted.
GNRS, which has become stale, could learn a few things on how it should be to show cars, not just highlight vendors.

Great article and awesome pics. The basement was really good this year and is always a ton of fun.
Thanks for snapping a few of my gold truck. I wish I would have been around while your shooting it, I would have loved to meet you.

    Great article.
I been going to that show off and on for over 45 years. Missed it this year.
I have heard some people complain that it was just "So-so" this year. But based on the pics I have seen it looked pretty good to me. Or maybe we are just becoming jaded....

  14. I know. That car is like a dream. An interesting bumper too. Kinda like a football helmet. Looks very original... It is what dreams are made of.

Tom Wolfe, aka Joey Ukrop, Great writing. Felt like I was there trying not to spill my beer cup.
Oh yeah, the pics were great also.

cool, you got my '33 Cabriolet in your photos. I am in the background of a LOT of photos having been parked next to the 32 that was all the talk in the basement.

4 photos of Dave's truck, that seem excessive..... :)

Glad the "pissed off Model A's" did it for you, great photos.

  23. Your writing pretty much summed it up, and great shots too. I brought a long (wrong!) lens and spent Saturday trying to shoot through crowds without much luck. Next year I'm taking a day or two off work and getting there Friday or earlier so I can get some decent shots.

Great photos. Very well written text. You could have a career in automotive journalism if you choose to do so. You have captured on film almost all of the great traditional rides that were at this year's Detroit Autorama.

Joey, another great job! With the build-up at the beginning, I almost skipped to read the ending(I know, that would be cheating). Thanks for the pics, how did the book sale go?

The car was in TRJ a while back. I cant remember which issue off hand but I can take a look tomorrow if you'd like? It belongs to Nick Hardie.
